Brett Fairweather has represented local engineering practices for over 20 years and now runs a mechanical services consultancy to support other practitioners throughout the industry.

Brett is the current chairperson for the technical committee responsible for AS 1668.1 (Fire and Smoke Control) and is also a member of Standards Australia’s ME-062 subcommittees responsible for Standards AS 1668.2 (Mechanical ventilation in buildings) and AS 1668.4 (Natural ventilation of buildings). He also represents a number of industry bodies such as AIRAH and AMCA in the delivery of seminars and training related to mechanical ventilation, fire and smoke control and maintenance of essential mechanical systems.
