The seminar will cover two main areas including a review of changes made to the bushfire provisions of the National Construction Code; and the opportunity to discuss the use and adoption of the latest release of Planning for Bush Fire Protection.

The first speaker, Dr Grahame Douglas, Associate Lecturer at Western Sydney University, will present on the new release of AS 3959 (2018 edition) including site assessment changes and construction requirements.Grahame will also present on the Bushfire Verification Method, including use of the simple and complex methodology.

The afternoon session will include a presentation from RFS on Planning for Bush Fire Protection 2018, followed by a Q&A session on its use, adoption and interpretation.The session will also cover the relationship between the new version of PBP and the existing regulatory requirements currently in force in NSW.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions, engage with industry stakeholders and network with bushfire consultants.

There will also be a short presentation from our sponsor, Heroal on their recently approved BAL-FZ bushfire shutter systems.
