NSW Bushfire Forum and training

Friday 14 May 2021

Time: 9:00am - 4:30pm  AEST
Location: Canada Bay Club, Five Dock / Zoom
Up to 6 CPD Hours

Join us for a day full of discussions, workshops, training and networking on all things bushfire protection related, and earn up to 6 CPD hours. We will kick off with presentation from FPAA and NSW RFS on our values and priorities, followed by the discussion from FPAA on roles and responsibilities. We then will have a workshop on issues, challenges and opportunities for our bushfire industry with an expected outcome of clear projects or working groups to progress issues identified in a positive and effective manner. The workshop will be based on feedback we ask BPAD practitioners to send to us prior to the event.

After lunch we will commence with quick discussion from the NSW RFS on rules of engagement with and within the NSW RFS, followed by the training session led by NSW RFS and leading industry experts on bushfire protection and land use planning in NSW. The training session will be based on the trends noted by the NSW RFS assessment team and questions submitted by BPAD practitioners prior to the event.

We have a webinar style option, however, we are hoping that you will be able to come and join us in person.
