What you should know!

In January 2019, a new edition of AS/NZS 2293.2:2019 was published that was dramatically different to AS/NZS 2293.2:1995.

This new version was updated to reflect many of the learnings from AS 1851-2012 in administration, format and implementation.

It implements and improves on many of the administrative requirements of Section 1 of AS 1851-2012, such as, baseline data, defects, tolerances, records and the relationship between this standard and the overall management of these systems.

AS/NZS 2293.2:2019 also adopts (like AS 1851-2012) a table structure for the routine service items making it much clearer as to what tasks are to be undertaken, when and how the results are recorded.

The standard also includes important technological changes and associated maintenance such as end of light source life (LSL) of maintained LED luminaires and exit signs.

If you undertake routine service and maintenance of emergency lights and exit signs—or—are responsible for such routine service and maintenance in your building—then this webinar is a must attend to familiarise yourself with the new standard and how it applies.

This webinar will cover:

  • Where AS/NZS 2293.2:2019 can be applied
  • An overview of the new administrative requirements including baseline data, frequency and tolerances of routine service intervals, records and reporting and more.
  • An explanation of the new and updated maintenance requirements.
  • An overview of the new table structure for routine service activities and key changes.

Questions and Answers

This webinar will also include the opportunity towards the end for attendees to pose questions to the presenter, by using the Question and Answer or Chat function in Zoom.

Important Note: Due to time limitations and the potential number of questions asked, the presenter may not have time to answer all questions.
