Emergency Planning

Critical Steps to Responding to Emergencies, AS 3745 Amendment 2,

Impact of Combustible Cladding & Recommended changes for the Industry.

Recent high profile fire incidents at buildings with combustible cladding, have served as a sobering reminder of the importance of planning for emergency situations.

Following amendment 2 to the Australian Standard AS 3745, which was published in June 2018, Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) is excited to announce a new national seminar series on emergency planning.

This important seminar will provide detailed information in relation to the amendment made to AS 3745, as well as addressing how competent development of emergency plans and emergency/evacuation procedures help protect all occupants and visitors in facilities.

AS 3745 applies to buildings, structures or workplaces occupied by people, with the exception of Class 1a buildings as defined in the Building Code of Australia, unless that dwelling is also used as a workplace.
