Brett Dundules (FPA Australia)

Brett is a Technical Officer at the Fire Protection Association of Australia involved in coordinating and attending Technical Advisory Committee meetings, writing technical documents, providing submissions to State and Federal legislative changes. 

Brett has worked at the City of Melbourne Building Enforcement Department and has experience and qualifications in fire protection system design, commissioning and installation.  This is complimented with fire and risk engineering practice and awareness and application of the building regulatory framework.  He has held previous roles in private engineering consulting firms and began his working life as a plumber.


Leigh Gesthuizen (FPA Australia)

Starting his career in Building Surveying in the early 90's at the Melbourne City Council, Leigh worked for Boral Construction Materials for 14 years in Australia and South Asia.  

An opportunity arose to head up commercialising and obtaining approvals for light weight construction materials developed by the CSIRO.   

Leigh then moved into the Fire Door industry heading up Pyropanel for 8 years.  During that time, he was an active member of the FPAA, assisting in presenting and hosting training events targeted at improving industry practice.
